Desire

I write poetry out of your charm,

your symbolic gestures,

your rich, silent speech.

You transform my simple thoughts into intricate ones with your legs of endless power, covering my inner landscape and turning even the known places into frontiers,

and

I lie other-worldly with each caress, worrying only about the inevitability of returning to a lesser state,

-reality.
