  1. Greetings,

I came across your feature on FLY, and I found your feature to be so interesting, that I just had to make my way over to your blog. I certainly share your passion for the literary arts and cultural studies.

I am actually working on a research paper and possible book project that is focused on the link between food, culture, and health disparities in the African Diaspora. My own educational background is in the fields of biological science, anthropology, and I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Health. My interests and the focus of my research, personal and academic, has been on how health, cultural, historical, and social issues impact those throughout the African Diaspora.

I would also like to inquire on whether you would be available to interview for my research project? I realize that you may have a busy or hectic schedule, so I can assure you that the interview will brief. I actually will like to propose, sending you a few questions, and only following up with a phone call if necessary.

I thank you in advance for considering my request, and I look forward to hearing from you.
